Would you believe it last weekend I developed a problem with a tooth, not only that I was due to start a new job at 9.30 Monday morning.

I rang the emergency number and Sylvia agreed to come in at 8.00 to see me so I could make the 9.30 start in Rugby.

All fixed up by 8.30 with just a numb mouth which had virtually worn off by the time I got to work.

We've been working hard to get the practice ready whilst still seeing patients for their check ups and triaging emergency patients.

From Monday 19th October we will safely be able to do those treatments that involve an aerosol generating procedure (AGP). Finally offering our full range of treatments again to our lovely patients. If you are waiting for treatment we will be in touch soon to make your appointments. There are a few of you so this may take some time.

If you are waiting for a routine examination and we have not yet contacted you please call the surgery and we will be happy to reschedule your appointment.

As part of government guidelines to protect your health we have to:
- Limit the number of patients in the practice at one time. To help manage this and prevent delays to your appointment please be sure to arrive as close to your appointment time as possible and follow all instructions provided by our staff. Please do not attend the practice if you do not have an appointment.

- Limit the number of appointments. We’re keen to continue to see as many patients as possible. However please be aware that due to the restrictions required to protect your health such as fallow periods and extra disinfection after an appointment we cannot provide as many appointments in one day as we are used to. As a result we have no choice but to see fewer patients in a day so you might have to wait a little longer for your appointment.

- Emergency appointments may be a little different. Please be aware that because of the limits on our treatment range when wearing our normal PPE we cannot provide the same level of emergency care as we would normally. In some circumstances we may only be able to see you for an assessment first and then carry out treatment at a later date if it involves an AGP which requires an increased level of PPE.

Please be sure that you continue to observe the same precautions as you have in the last few months. If you are experiencing possible symptoms of Coronavirus, such as a new or continuous cough, a high temperature, or a loss or change to your sense of taste or smell, do not attend your appointment and contact the practice to let our team know.

The practice changed owners in April 2010 and has undergone extensive refurbishment. Our surgeries have been equipped with the latest in dental equipment and our public areas have been redecorated to create a warm and welcoming environment. We pride ourselves on our family friendly policies and welcome patients young and old.

Our opening hours have been designed to suit today’s busy lifestyles and we also offer evening surgeries on Tuesday and Thursday evenings.
